A Love of all things Agriculture
Mike's love of cows started at an early age when he bought his first Brown Swiss show cow. He knew he would always be happy as long as he could spend his days promoting agriculture. It is no surprise he has built the dynamic cow herd he has, nor that he has a successful Hay Export facility and hundreds of happy forage customers across the Globe.
Chelsea grew up with the same love of horses and cattle. If she wasn't showing cows, you could find her on the back of a horse any day of the week. She grew up raising beef cows, and loves them to this day, but her true soft spot lies for any jersey in her roping herd. She makes Mike use them as "recip" cows for their Embryo Transfer program. Pets with a purpose she says!
Cows & Hay
Together, their passion for serving the Cattle community through superior Angus genetics is seen in the annual offering of bulls and females. Chelsea also serves at the Executive Vice President of the Washington Cattlemen's Association where she fights for rancher's rights and works to protect the western way of life.
The Export Hay business allows Mike and Chelsea to share their love and knowledge of livestock while feeding hungry mouths both domestically and overseas. Both feel there are few greater pleasures than feeding animals!
Mike is the President of the United States Forage Export Council, a prestigious organization that works to enhance communication and efforts in overseas trade.
The Fun Facts
Chelsea lives to rope. Period.
If you can't find her, check the arena.
Mike lives for hay and cows. He is a true workaholic, but he stands by the motto "If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life."
